Spatial Audio Interfaces II

Description

This research study investigates how you learn the environment around you using auditory information about the space rather than the traditional method of using vision to see your environment. In this experiment, you will be blindfolded and learn a set of objects located around you in the lab room by hearing their location from headphones. After you learn the object locations, you will move to a new position in the lab room and then walk to the original target locations.   The experiment is interesting to most participants and takes only around 1.5 hours of your time. You will be compensated for your participation at $10 per hour, prorated at 15 minute intervals ($2.5). The only sign-up restrictions are that you must be between the ages of 18-50 and have normal hearing (that is, no known hearing loss).
